Formtech manufactures and sells a complete Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) building system that includes multi-cavity reversible blocks and corner blocks, and other related Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) products.

Formtech ICFs are made from fire-retardant EPS. The Fire Resistance Rating for Formtech walls with 6 inch and greater cores is 3 hours.

The insulated concrete form is inert and is considered one of the best insulating materials available. It provides for a complete wall system below and above grade. EPS has a nominal density of 1.5 pounds per cubic foot (pcf), and meets requirements of ASTM C-578, Type II, and requirements of CAN/ULC S701, Type II.

The Formtech ICF wall assembly with concrete has a minimum R value of R-22 value.

Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating for Formtech wall assemblies with 6-inch cavity width and greater concrete cores is 51.
