Formtech was the first company to patent a revolutionary, stay-in-place, collapsible Insulated Concrete Form building system for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications. Formtech's blocks are unique in that they ship flat, substantially reducing shipping costs while offering the versatility of multiple-width cavity sizes with strength that is unparalleled in the industry due to the use of certified resins in both EPS and plastic components.

History
Formtech was founded in 1996 as a private corporation by product innovator and president, Frank Bentley.
The company is headquartered in Aurora, Ontario, Canada, with various global manufacturing facilities through its affiliation with Tegrant Corporation (www.tegrant.com) and licensed technology holders.
In 2001, Formtech designed and introduced a reversible tread panel and molded EPS 90-degree corner block. Reversible panels have a superior interlock with no top or bottom, meaning less waste and increased product versatility. Formtech reversible corners work either left or right and are recognized as being among the strongest corner systems on today's market. In 2007, a taper-top panel and a six-inch 45-degree reversible corner block were introduced. In Q2 2008, an eight-inch 45-degree reversible corner block will be available along with a new 12-inch cavity web.
Aside from opening traditional markets in the U.S. and Canada, the company has also, on a corporate level, pursued international markets and joint ventures. This growing list currently includes Grand Cayman, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Chile, the Middle East, Dominican Republic and China.
