Follow engineering of building drawings to determine where re-bars must be placed in the wall. Follow all building codes.

US construction must conform to ACI 318 (design and placement). Canadian must conform to CSA A23.1 (design) and A23.3 placement.

FORMTECH recommends that the horizontal rebar placed in the second course should be tied to the footings. Place this rebar in the slot closest to the center slot and tie it to the rebar dowels or C-hooks in the footings.

By alternating the position of the vertical rebars, a grid is established to accept the vertical rebar placement as the wall rises.
